Two soldiers killed in fighting vs NPA in Camarines Norte

Two soldiers were killed while three were wounded Sunday in a 25-minute clash between the military and alleged New People’s Army (NPA) rebels in Labo, Camarines Norte, the Philippine Army said Monday.
Capt. Joash Pramis, spokesman of the 9th Infantry Division, saidt soldiers from the 96th Infantry Battalion were conducting patrol in Barangay Dumagmang, Labo town when they fired upon.
The attackers took heavy losses as shown by bloodstains as they withdrew.
Pramis is withholding the names of the slain soldiers pending notification of their relatives. DMS
