URGENT 186 lawmakers declare House speakership vacant

Congressmen belonging to the majority bloc on Monday declared the position of speaker of the  House of Representatives vacant and put forward Marinduque Rep. Lord Alan Velasco for the position.

The 186 lawmakers are meeting at the Celebrity Sports Plaza.

Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano, in a press conference at the House of Representatives said the proceedings sets a ''very, very dangerous precdent.'' DMS
