People who want to go visit the graves of their loved ones in cemeteries will have to do so before October 29 when all cemeteries will be closed until Nov 4. , the chairman of Metro Manila Council said Monday.
''We encourage people to go to cemeteries prior to October 29,'' said Paranaque Mayor Edwin Olivarez in an interview at dzBB.
Seventeen Metro Manila mayors voted in favor of closing all cemeteries from October 29 to Nov 4 in a Zoom meeting on Sunday, said Olivarez.
''We will enforce physical distancing and health protocol inside cemeteries. We will be assigning policemen and marshalls to regulate the entry of people,'' said Olivarez.
Flower sellers will be allowed to ply their trade inside cemeteries before October 29 so they can earn money, added Olivarez. DMS
