Wanted Japanese national nabbed in Cavite

A wanted Japanese national was arrested in Rosario, Cavite on Friday for allegedly violating the law on anti-violence against women and children, police said on Sunday.
Rosario Municipal Police Station said the 38-year old suspect, a factory worker and native of Nagano, Japan, was apprehended in his residence in Brgy. Tejeros Convention, Rosario at around 11:30am.
Authorities said the foreigner was arrested for allegedly violating Republic Act No. 9262, otherwise known as "Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004," specifically
for "causing physical harm to the woman or her child."
Authorities have recommended a bail of P24,000 for the temporary liberty of the Japanese suspect, who is now under the police custody. (Ella Dionisio/DMS)
