Takanohana Sent to Hospital after Briefly Losing Consciousness

Tokyo- Sumo stablemaster Takanohana, 46, was sent to a hospital in the northeastern Japan city of Akita on Tuesday after collapsing at a gymnasium where a local tour event of the professional sport was held, informed sources said.
Takanohana suffered convulsions and lost his consciousness when he was coaching young wrestlers of his stable around 10 a.m. (1 a.m. GMT), the sources said.
He came back to life when an ambulance arrived at the gymnasium in the city, according to the sources.
Takanohana has been traveling many parts of the country as a referee since the summer sumo tour started in late July. Jiji Press
