4 die after drinking coconut wine in Quezon City

Four persons died and 13 were hospitalized last weekend after drinking "lambanong" or cococnut wine
weekend binge in Quezon City, police said Tuesday.
Superintendent Rossel Cejas, Novaliches Police Station 4 chief, said the victims namely Dennis Cuadra, 37, Alvin Reyes, 42, Delfin Bayaongos, 48, and Crispulo Mateo Jr., 43.
The first three died on different times on Monday at the Novaliches District Hospital while Mateo passed away Tuesday afternoon at the East Avenue Medical Center.
The 17 persons began drinking at 3 pm on Saturday at Barangay San Bartolome, with police reporting hey consumed a total of four liters of 'lambanog'.
Their relatives sent the victims to hospitals after complaining of severe stomach pains, Cejas said in a text message.
The 13 other victims are recuperating at the East Avenue Medical Center.
Cejas said they are checking the contents of the liquor. DMS
