88 remains of OFWs return from Saudi Arabia

Eighty-eight remains of Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) returned from Saudi Arabia Sunday, the second batch to arrive,
The Department of Labor and Employment said the bodies arrived on two flights from Saudi Arabia at the NAIA Terminal 3 in Pasay City.
Of the 88, a total of 45 died from coronavirus disease (COVID-19), while the other 43 passed away from other causes.
A total of 49 came from Riyadh, including 17 COVID-19 deaths and 32 non-COVID-19 deaths.
For 28 from Al-Khobar, seventeen died due to COVID-19 while 11 died from other causes.
All 11 bodies from Jeddah died from COVID-19.
Last July 10, forty nine OFWs who were the first batch of deceased workers from Saudi Arabia arrived.
Bodies of a total 274 OFWs are set to be repatriated by the Philippine government after they piled up in Saudi Arabia since February. DMS
