About four die daily in road accidents: PNP-HPG

There were approximately four deaths daily this year during road crashes, according to the Philippine National Police's Highway Patrol Group ( PNP-HPG).
The (PNP-HPG) said a total of 1,186 died in 9,663 road accidents from January to September.
February had the highest death toll with 188 followed by 186 in September and April with 161.
Based on PNP-HPG records, 8,809 accidents this year were caused by reckless driving.
The remaining accidents were caused by poor road conditions, mechanical defects on vehicles and other factors.
Police Brig. Gen. Dionardo Carlos, the PNP-HPG director said through proper training, motorists can be more responsible.
Carlos advised motorists to take extra precautions to avoid accidents. DMS
