Abu Sayyaf killed, two soldiers wounded in Sulu

An Abu Sayyaf member was killed while two soldiers were wounded in an encounter in Sulu on Thursday.
Col. Gerry Besana, spokesman of the Armed Forces of Philippines (AFP) Western Mindanao Command, said troops of the 32nd Infantry Battalion engaged 100 Abu Sayyaf Group members under ASG sub-leader Radullan Sahiron.
He said based on initial report the encounter happened in Sitio Bud Taming, Barangay Panglayahan, Patikul, Sulu at 10:37 am.
Besana said the enemy withdrew towards the southwest after a firefight that lasted 40 minutes. Robina Asido/DMS
