Abu Sayyaf ransom negotiator nabbed in Zambo port

ZAMBOANGA CITY - Government operatives arrested an Abu Sayyaf member involved in the recent killing of a police officer and a ransom negotiator in Sulu.
Brig. Gen. Marni Marcos Jr., Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao police director, said Friday arrested was Benhajar Salapuddin Alan, a resident of Barangay Sta. Barbara.
Marcos said Alan was arrested by joint police team from Sulu and this city around 5 a.m. Friday at the local port.
Marcos said Alan has a warrant of arrest for murder qualified by treachery issued by a local court. No bail was recommended.
He said Alan was also involved in illegal drug and gun-for-hire activities in this city and in Sulu.
He said Alan is the primary suspect in the killing of Joemer Hashim Jawadin on December 7, 2015 here.
He said Alan was involved in the killing of a police officer, Lieutenant Sali Salim, and a certain Jipon, an informant, during an anti-drug operation on , January 12, in Sitio Baunoh, Barangay Tagbak, Indanan, Sulu. DMS
