AFP sending 33-man medical team to Cebu City

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) will deploy medical personnel to augment the health workforce in Cebu City.
Capt. Jonathan Zata, AFP public affairs chief, said the 33-man AFP medical team will be deployed to Cebu City on Sunday.
The send-off ceremony will be held at Villamor Air Base in Pasay City around 8am.
Zata said the event will be attended by Vice Admiral Gaudencio Collado Jr., Vice Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
The entire city of Cebu was placed under enhanced community quarantine to contain the rising cases of the coronavirus disease ( COVID-19) in the area.
Cebu City has the highest number of COVID-19 cases with 4,417, the Department of Health (DOH) said in its Friday report. In the last 14 days since onset of illness, Cebu City has 1,082. Robina Asido/DMS
