Aid to COVID-19 hit workers may be availed outside Luzon: DOLE

The one-time cash assistance of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) to workers affected by the2019 coronavirus disease(COVID-19) may be availed of all over the country.
This was according to the Labor Advisory No. 12-2020, which provides that the COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP) has a nationwide coverage.
"Program coverage is nationwide," said Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III. This takes effect on Saturday and applied retroactively from January 2020, Bello said.
According to Department Order (DO) No. 209-2020, a one-time financial assistance equivalent to P5,000 shall be provided to affected workers in lump sum, non-conditional, regardless of the employment status under the CAMP.
Covered by CAMP are all employees, regardless of employment status, in private establishments, whose operations are affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
DOLE said concerned establishments must submit the revised Establishment Report Form , particularly the indicated mandatory fields, and the company payroll for the month of February or earlier.
These documentary requirements must be submitted online to the concerned DOLE Regional Office or any of its provincial or field offices.
The DOLE regional office, provincial police or field office shall give the financial support directly to the employees' payroll account through bank transfer upon receipt of complete documentary requirements. DMS
