Alleged Al Qaida member arrested in Zambales

An alleged member of Al Qaida terror group was arrested inside a hotel in Iba, Zambales last Monday, according to the Philippine National Police ( PNP)
In a report, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group ( CIDG) head Major General Amador Corpus identified the suspect as Cholo Abdi Abdullah who is here training to become a pilot.
He did not say how long Abdullah has been staying in the country. Corpus said the group where Abdullah is linked is operating in East Asia.
The suspect was arrested after the police and military implemented a search warrant inside a hotel against Abdullah around 3:30 pm for illegal possession of firearms and explosives.
Confiscated from the suspect were an improvised explosive device, firearm, grenade, and bomb materials.
