Alleged NPA member arrested in Quezon

An alleged New People's Army (NPA) member was arrested by government forces in Quezon province on Monday, a military officer said Wednesday.
Maj. Marco Antonio Magisa, civil military operations officer of the 2nd Infantry Division, said apprehended was Regie Helena alias Renz Andaya, an NPA member operating in the Bondoc Peninsula.
Magisa said Helena was captured in Unisan, Quezon province.
Government forces confiscated a caliber 45 pistol from Helena.
Brigadier General Norwyn Romeo Tolentino, commander of the 201st Infantry Brigade, said the military has "already coordinated with the local PNP for appropriate action and filing of legal charges" against Helena. Robina Asido/DMS
