An alleged official of the New People's Army (NPA) was killed in a clash with government troops in North Cotabato on Saturday.
Lt. Gen. Corleto Vinluan, Jr., Western Mindanao Command chief, said killed was Zaldy Pulido, secretary of Guerilla Front 53 of the Southern Mindanao Regional Committee.
Vinluan said the troops of 62nd Division Reconnaissance Company under the 602nd Infantry Brigade encountered around 12 fully armed communist terrorist group members at Sitio Rodson, Barangay Arakan, Matalam municipality.
“Based on the initial report submitted by Brig. Gen.
