Armed men abduct doctor in Sulu

A doctor was abducted by armed men in Sulu on Tuesday, a military spokesman said Wednesday.
Maj. Arvin Encinas, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Western Mindanao Command (Wesmincom) spokesman, said Daniel Moreno was in his clinic in Barangay Walled City, Jolo, Sulu when he was abducted by four armed men around 7pm.
"Dr. Moreno was taken by his captors who fled towards Indanan, Sulu aboard a Tamaraw FX," he said.
Encinas said the "members of the Metro Jolo Interagency Task Group, composed of military and police forces, currently operate to rescue Moreno and apprehend his captors."
"All units established checkpoints and block possible ingress and egress points as of this press time," he said. Robina Asido/DMS
