Army conducting fever monitoring on all camps

The Philippine Army (PA) is conducting fever monitoring in all camps nationwide amid the threat of the coronavirus disease in the country.
"We constantly monitor entry and exit of personnel and guest that enter camp through fever monitoring," Col. Ramon Zagala, Phililipine Army spokesman told Daily Manila Shimbun on Monday.
"All entry in camp have fever monitoring devices," he added.
Zagala said the civilian guest who will be traced to have fever will be informed about their condition and will not be allowed to enter the camp.
"If (these are) military, civilian human resources and dependents, we will send (them) to the hospital. If civilian guests, they will not be allowed to enter and will advise them of their temperature," he explained.
Zagala said Philippine Army implemented fever monitoring since last month.
Zagala emphasized that as part of their effort to prevent the spread of the virus, the Philippine Army also cancelled large formations and conducted information campaign about the Covid-19.
"We also do information ( briefing) on proper hygiene to prevent the possible spread of the virus. We also cancelled large formations," he said. Robina Asido/DMS
