Around P180,000 worth of illegal drugs seized by police in QC

A total of P180,000 worth of marijuana and other illegal drugs were seized by police in different buy-bust operations in Quezon City. 

According to  Police Brigadier General Joselito Esquivel Jr., Quezon City district director, Cubao police recovered a kilo of dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops worth P120,000 from two minor suspects. 

It was seized during a buy-bust operation was conducted around 5:50 PM on Tuesday at P. Tuazon Boulevard near corner N. Domingo Street, Barangay Kaunlaran, Cubao. 

Police also confiscated a mobile phone and the buy-bust money used for the operation. 

Novaliches police around 11:30 pm  Tuesday arrested four suspects, rescue of two minors and confiscation of P36,000 worth of dried marijuana leaves. 

Police apprehended Kim Equipado, Michael Mina, Christopher se Leon alias James, and Edwin Amores in No. 20 Recto Street, TS Cruz Subdivision, Barangay San Agustin. Around 300 grams of marijuana, two mobile phones, a Honda motorcycle, and buy-bust money were seized from suspects. 

Novaliches police took P24,000 worth of marijuana and other alleged illegal drugs in a separate operation on Wednesday morning at an apartelle along Mindanao Avenue, Barangay Talipapa. 

Authorities arrested eight suspects identified as John Paolo Arellano, Denmark Rivera, Neil Sollestre, Gian Salonga, Vian Paolo Buza, Lucio Tan, Shams Tacderan and Aeron Calucin. Two minors were also rescued. 

Among confiscated items were 200 grams of dried marijuana leaves, three zip lock bags containing ecstasy tablets, three bottles of liquid ecstasy. eight sachets of suspected shabu, and a drug paraphernalia.
