Around P61 million worth of shabu in tea bags seized from suspect in QC

At least P61.2 million worth of shabu placed in Chinese tea bags was seized from a drug suspect in Quezon City Wednesday.
Operatives of the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) confiscated the illegal drugs during a sting at the corner of 4th West and Quezon Avenue in Barangay South Triangle at around
4:20 p.m.
Brig. Gen. Romeo Caramat Jr., PDEG director, said arrested was Mark Anthony Carlos, 28, of San Miguel, Bulacan.
Caramat said Carlos was apprehended after he sold drugs to a policeman posing as a buyer.
Around nine kilos of shabu placed in Chinese tea bags were found in Carlos. A kilo of shabu has an estimated street value of P6.8 million, said the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency
“Arrested suspect is under the custody of PDEG for proper documentation and filing of proper charges in court,” Caramat said in a text message. DMS
