At least 200 newly-promoted PCG officers took their oaths

Hundreds of newly-promoted Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) officers took their oaths in a ceremony in Manila on Friday.
Capt. Armando Balilo, PCG spokesman said the ceremony led by PCG Commandant Admiral Joel Garcia was held at the PCG National Headquarters.
Balilo said as recommended by Garcia, Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade approved the promotion of the 239 PCG officers.
Promoted officers were 31 captains, 104 commanders, 64 lieutenant commanders, and 40 lieutenant junior grade.
Balilo said total of 477 commissioned officers with the rank of "probationary ensign" also took their oaths. Robina Asido/DMS
