Benguet Rep. Fongwan passes away

LA TRINIDAD-- Benguet Rep. Nestor Fongwan Sr., 69, succumbed to a lingering illness in Metro Manila Wednesday afternoon, his son said in his social media page.
Fongwan began as La Trinidad councilor, then vice-mayor and mayor, Benguet governor and later congressman in July 2019.
Benguet board member Nestor Fongwan Jr. said in his social media account. "My father is now with his creator." He said his father died on the afternoon of December 18.
The elder Fongwan, who was Benguet governor for three terms from 2007 to 2016, was known as ''Action Man''.
Fongwan's son said his father will be brought home to Guadayan, Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet in the evening of December 19. The body will be available for viewing on December 20. DMS
