”Betty” weakens into low pressure area

Tropical Depression"Betty" has weakened into a low-pressure area a few hours after it entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Friday.
"Betty," whose international name was "Wutip," entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility at 7 pm Thursday.
As of 4 am Friday, the state weather agency said the tropical depression weakened into a low-pressure area which poses no threat to any part of the country.
