Peter Joemel Advincula, who claimed to be “Bikoy” in the narcolist videos, surrendered to the police Monday evening after a court in Albay issued an arrest warrant for cyberlibel.
Advincula surrendered to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group – National Capital Region (CIDG-NCR) at Camp Crame around 7 pm.
“He voluntarily surrendered to us,”said CIDG-NCR chief Lt. Col. Arnold
Tomas Ibay.
The warrant by the Legazpi City Regional Trial Court Branch 5 for violating the Cybercrime Prevention Act, stemmed from a complaint filed by businessman Zaldy Co.
Co filed the complaint after Advincula said in his video Misibis Bay Resort in Albay, which Co owns, was used in the illegal drug trade. He is demanding damages of P1 billion .
Ibay said Advincula will stay in Camp Crame Monday night he has yet to pay the bail bond of P10,000 in any court.
Advincula alleged Vice President Leni Robredo and other opposition personalities were involved in a supposed ouster plot against President Rodrigo Duterte. DMS
