BPI mobile, online transactions restored
April 12, 2019
Bank of the Philippine Islands ( BPI) announced on Friday it has restored its services after customers experienced issues with transactions due to a system upgrade.
In a statement posted Friday morning, BPI said all financial transactions will get processed through their banking channels. But, slower access in some services are still expected due to a surge of usage, it added.
"Due to the surge of usage, please expect slower access to our online and mobile platforms. We expect usage traffic and access to normalize within the course of the day. Thank you for your patience and continued patronage," BPI said.
Last Wednesday BPI said in a statement that transactions for their customers will be temporarily available due to a "systems upgrade." It added that some branches will also have limited capacity with their services.
"Please bear with us as our platforms encountered some issues with the systems upgrade," a statement on Wednesday read. Cristina Eloisa Baclig/DMS
