China Coast Guard ship arriving on Jan. 13

A China Coast Guard ship will arrive in Manila for a port visit next week.
In an advisory, the Philippine Coast Guard said the Chinese Coast Guard vessel will arrive in Port Area on January 13.
The Chinese ship will be welcomed by PCG Commandant, Admiral Joel Garcia.
The China Coast Guard ship is expected to stay for four days or until January 17.
Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Felimon Santos Jr. said the visit of China Coast Guard "is a diplomatic matter with the government."
"For us. whoever goes here with pure intention we should have good relations... and it will all depend on the policy of the government as long as it will not endanger our national security," he said. Robina Asido/DMS
