Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. on Friday said thousands of testing kits for the 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19), personal protective equipment (PPE) sets and masks given by China arrived Friday.
“Promised China help arrived on (a) charter flight at 5 am. Praying no hitches. DOH (Department of Health) on the ball so we’re ok. Items perishable in heat,” Locsin said in his Twitter account.
China's donation includes 100,000 testing kits for COVID-19, 100,000 surgical masks, 10,000 N95 masks, and 10,000 sets of PPE.
The country is under a state of calamity with an enhanced community quarantine imposed in Luzon as the number of COVID-19 cases rose to 217. DMS
