CNN Philippines goes off air for at least 24 hours due to COVID-19

CNN Philippines announced on Wednesday that it would go off air for at least 24 hours after one of the employees in similar building where the television network is located was tested positive for coronavirus disease.

"CNN Philippines will go off air for at least 24 hours as the building where the network is housed will be disinfected," it said in a statement posted on its Facebook page.

"Employee of another company in the same building, but on a different floor, tests positive for COVID-19," the TV station added.

CNN Philippines is located at Worldwide Corporate Center along Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City.

But the company assured that it would continue to deliver news through its website, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages, as well as its Viber community.

"Please be assured that we will continue to deliver news and information you can trust, news and information that is accurate, fair, and balanced. We will keep doing our work," it said.

CNN Philippines said it has been prepared for this emergency as some of its staff have been isolated and working from home for more than two weeks already.
