The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) rescued two fishermen off the waters of Guimaras province on Sunday.
The personnel of PCG sub-station in Jordan rescued two fishermen approximately 100 meters away from the shoreline of Bundolan, Barangay Hoskyn in Jordan, Guimaras.
According to PCG, the fishing vessel was half-submurged when the fishermen were rescued.
"The boat departed from Maria Clara, Iloilo City to go on a fishing venture, but its starboard outrigger broke, causing it to half-submerge," it stated.
The PCG said the rescued fishermen were safe and in good physical condition.
"The fishermen, who were in all good physical condition, and the towed fishing boat were brought to San Jose Wharf in Jordan, Guimaras for further assistance," the PCG said. Robina Asido/DMS
