Cop arrested for alleged rape of policewoman in Palawan

A police officer was arrested for allegedly raping a policewoman in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan on Monday. The suspect had a rank of Police Officer 3 who was on duty like the 23-year-old woman with a rank of Police Officer 1. An initial police report said the alleged rape happened at the Joint Maritime Law Enforcement Training Center in Barangay Santa Lourdes between 2:30 a.m. to 3 a.m. The report said the woman, who is undergoing training at the facility, claimed the man asked if she to join him. Then, the suspect pushed the woman inside a comfort room and kissed her. After that, the man brought the victim to a room on the second floor and raped her, the report said. The victim reported the incident to her training officers around 5:45 pm. The officers arrested the man around 6:15 pm. He is detained in the city police station's cell. DMS
