Cop arrested for shooting firearm in Pasig lounge

A police officer said to be drunk was arrested after he discharged his firearm in Pasig City early Thursday morning.
This was disclosed by the acting director of the National Capital Region Police Office, Police Brigadier General Debold Sinas.
Arrested was Police Staff Sergeant Percilito Club, 39 and assigned at the Pasig City Police Station.
Club was arrested around 5:20 am at the Reserved Liquor Lounge, City Golf, located along J. Vargas Avenue in Barangay Ugong, Pasig City after personnel from Police Community Precinct 10 heard a gunshot coming from the entrance door of the lounge during their establishment visitation.
Police officers saw a man holding an unknown caliber of firearm which they noticed to be very drunk and later introduced himself as a police officer.
Recovered from him were his issued firearm and magazines which were already submitted for ballistic examination
He was also brought to Philippine National Police- Crime Laboratory Service in Mandaluyong City for paraffin examination and blood alcohol determination.
Club is detained at the Pasig City Police Station and cases of alarms and scandals and discharge of firearm are being readied against him.
An investigation will be done by the Internal Affairs Service for Club's administrative case. Ella Dionisio/DMS
