Cop killed in Taguig City

A police officer was shot dead by four unidentified suspects in Taguig City Monday evening.
Southern Police District spokesperson, Police Major Jaybe Bayani identified the policemen as Police Master Sergeant Napoleon Zamora, 45, and assigned at the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO)-Regional Headquarters Support Unit (RHSU).
Initial investigation said the incident transpired around 11 pm at Barangay Bagumbayan, Taguig City.
Bayani said Zamora was onboard his motorcycle and on his way home from attending their Christmas party when four unidentified suspects followed him. Suspects shot the victim in different parts of his body which resulted in his death and fled towards the undisclosed direction.
''For now, the Taguig City Police Station is still conducting follow up operation for the possible identification of the suspects,'' Bayani said. Ella Dionisio/DMS
