Cops with other cases to stay at PNP holding office even after finishing reformation program
August 7, 2019
Police who have administrative and criminal cases will remain under the Philippine National Police ( PNP) holding office even after they undergo a 30-day reformation and reorientation program.
"Those who graduated from the training will temporary stay at the holding areas because they are still undergoing administrative proceeding and some of them are even facing criminal charges," said Brigadier General Bernard Banac, PNP spokesperson, in a press briefing on Wednesday.
He said those personnel can help in other activities of PNP which requires manpower.
"There are a lot of duties they can do... they still need to have activities so if there is a need for manpower, they will be the ones assigned since they are available," said Banac.
After the graduation of 53 erring personnel last July, PNP chief General Oscar Albayalde again sent another 54 cops in Subic to undergo the program.
Banac said those who undergo the program change the way they look at life and went on a healthy lifestyle.
"Aside from changing their beliefs, their physical body change too. They became more healthy after the 30-day training," he said. Ella Dionisio/DMS
