December inflation at 5.1%, full-year at 5.2%

December inflation slowed down on Friday to 5.1 percent from six percent in November as the Philippine Statistics Authority said cheaper food and lower transport costs.
For the entire 2018, inflation averaged at 5.2 percent, highest since 2009.
Among food items, the inflation rate of rice went down to six percent from 8.1 percent in November, meat 5.5 percent from 6.3 percent and fish 9.9 percent from 12.5. DMS
