Dengue deaths in three regions surpass 200: NDRRMC

The death toll from dengue in Western Visayas, Central Visayas and Calabarzon reached a total of 202, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said Thursday.
NDRRMC report shows the number of deaths rose after recorded cases in Calabarzon from January 1 to July 13 was included in their report.
The total number of dengue cases in Calabarzon, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas and Soccsksargen amounted to 38,804.
Additional dengue cases and deaths in Calabarzon were logged in the provinces of Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Quezon and Rizal.
Out of 2,621 cases in Batangas, four died while out of 3,756 cases in Cavite, 20 passed away.
In Laguna, seven died out of 2,638 cases while seven passed away in Quezon out of the 2,488 cases. A total of 12 deaths were recorded in Rizal from 1,529 case, the NDRRMC said. Robina Asido/DMS
