DOH reports 1,097 COVID-19 cases

The Department of Health (DOH) reported 1,097 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Saturday, bringing total cases to 476, 916.
The DOH said 15 laboratories did not submit their results for January 1 due to the temporary unavailability of the COVID-19 Document Repository System.
This was resolved immediately, and while the impact has been minimal, we are coordinating with all involved laboratories that all results are uploaded as soon as possible,'' the DOH said.
Davao del Norte had the day's highest COVID-19 cases with 65 followed by Davao City, 60. Laguna was third with 53, Batangas 48 and Cavite 43.
Five persons died from COVID-19, placing total fatalities to 9,253.
Forty seven persons overcame COVID-19, which raised total recoveries to 439,942. DMS
