DOH reports nearly 100 cases in a day, total 803

Nearly 100 new cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) were reported by the Department of Health (DOH) Friday, bringing the country's total to 803.
Based on the latest COVID-19 Case Bulletin, the DOH said as of 4 pm, the DOH has recorded 96 new cases.
Fatalities reached 54.
This was after the DOH reported 9 additional deaths yesterday, Friday.
The DOH reported three new recoveries, placing the total recovered patients to 31. Two are Filipinos with a travel history from Japan.
A 48-year-old man was confirmed positive for COVID-19 on March 5, and was discharged on March 19.
Then, a 51-year old man from Pasig City was confirmed positive for COVID-19 on March 11, and discharged on March 26.
Meanwhile, Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said a DOH official had tested positive for COVID-19.
Vergeire said the official, whom she did not name, is suffering from mild symptoms but is in stable condition.
"The official is being provided appropriate medical care and is in stable condition," added Vergeire.
Earlier, the DOH said a director in its Central Office had tested positive for COVID-19. DMS
