December 20, 2018
Department of Health (DOH)-retained hospitals and regional offices nationwide will be on Code White Alert during the holidays starting Friday.
According to Health Undersecretary Eric Domingo, the Code White Alert will be in effect up until January 4 next year.
“Our hospitals should be ready for any eventualities during this holiday celebration,” DOH Secretary Francisco Duque III said in a separate statement.
A Code White Alert is declared when there is a mass gathering or national event, which may cause emergency conditions needing immediate medical attention.
There are 70 DOH-retained hospitals nationwide and 17 regional offices. DMS
