DOJ indicts Dennis Sytin, two others for killing brother
July 25, 2019
The Department of Justice ( DOJ) has indicted Dennis Sytin and two others for murder and frustrating murder before the Olongapo City Regional Trial Court, in connection with the killing of his brother Dominic last March 5.
The DOJ also found probable cause to file criminal complaint against Dennis's co-respondents -- Edgardo Luib, the self-confessed gunman of Dominic and the latter’s former employee at the United Auctioneers Inc, Oliver Fuentes.
In a 55-page resolution, the DOJ said the three accused conspired in killing Dominic and injuring his driver Efren Espartero in an ambush in front of the Lighthouse Hotel in Subic.
Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra said the DOJ has asked the Supreme Court for “the transfer of venue from Olongapo City to Metro Manila.”
Earlier, Dennis denied having masterminded the killing of his brother.
The complaint filed against Sytin is mainly based on the statement of Luib, who claimed the businessman induced him to kill Dominic through Fuentes. DMS
