Duterte hits Iceland for “slaughter” of fetus

August 27, 2019

President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday slammed anew Iceland for initiating a campaign against the Philippines on the alleged extrajudicial killings when in fact it "slaughters" fetus up to six months through abortion.

Duterte mentioned Iceland in his speech in Quezon City when he reiterated his policy to promote family planning but not abortion.

"Of course, abortion is out of the question. I will not allow it. Just like Iceland who initiated that signature campaign to condemn us on extrajudicial killing," he said.

"But do you know that in Iceland they allow abortion up to six months? You add one more year --- one more month and you have the principle of intrauterine life. That if you give birth at six months, the baby will survive," the President said.

"Iceland allows the slaughter of the fetus inside the womb of the mother up to six months. Son of a b****. They worry more of the drug lords and who are pushing drugs, killing our citizens, and creating a social dysfunction in almost  all who have been hit (by drugs)," Duterte stressed.

He noted that about 1.6 million Filipinos are slaves of illegal drugs, called as shabu.

"Just imagine. Six months. You allow an innocent human being already thriving and living inside the mother’s body and… they just pull it...then they are teaching me on what to do. I am sorry for you.  That’s why you are condemned there in the ice forever. I hope you will freeze in time," Duterte said.
