Duterte hits Trillanes anew

President Rodrigo Duterte said on Thursday politicians, such as former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, should be avoided as they are just grandstanding.

Duterte renewed his attack against Trillanes a day after his staunch critic launched a youtube vlog to present his "exposes."

"Trillanes continues to talk up to now...you know you should avoid people like him. They thought that...they are just grandstanding," he said.

Duterte said these kind of politicians act as if they were "bemedalled."

"They did not even go to war. The stupid was only in the office...you know, you should avoid (people like them). I am just advising you, stay clear," he added.

Trillanes is facing several charges in various courts, including the conspiracy to commit sedition. 

He was also behind the filing of a petition against Duterte before the International Criminal Court for allegedly committing crimes against humanity due to his administration's bloody war on drugs. Celerina Monte/DMS
