Duterte joins ASEAN online summit

President Rodrigo Duterte joined on Thursday other Southeast Asian leaders in the 37th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits via video conference.
"PRRD is in Malago attending the online summit of ASEAN," Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a Viber message to reporters.
Vietnam is the current chair of ASEAN.
Roque made the statement when asked where Duterte was as most parts of the country was whipped by Typhoon "Ulysses."
Many residents living in low-lying areas and near the rivers, including Metro Manila, have experienced massive flooding.
In Marikina City, there were residents who were already on the rooftops or at the third floors of their houses as floods already reached the second floors.
Millions of households have also lost power supply.
According to Manila Electric Company, as of 8am, 2.954 million housheholds in its franchise areas have experienced power outage.
The most affected areas were Bulacan, Cavite, Rizal, Laguna, Quezon Province, and cities of Caloocan, Quezon, Marikina, Muntinlupa and Makati, all in Metro Manila. Celerina Monte/DMS
