Duterte lauds Colegio de San Juan de Letran as it marks quadricentennial anniv this year

President Rodrigo Duterte has hailed Colegio de San Juan de Letran for its contributions in history and nation-building.

This as Duterte declared 2020 as the "Year for the Celebration of the Quadricentennial Anniversary of the Colegio de San Juan de Letran."

"The State recognizes the Colegio de San Juan de Letran's contributions to our history and nation-building, through the formation of individuals who have excelled in various fields including national heroes, leaders and artists, as well as through community services to the poor and needy," Proclamation No. 908, which Duterte signed on February 21, read.

The Colegio de San Juan de Letran in Intramuros is one of the oldest academic institutions in the country.
