Duterte orders “enhanced community quarantine” in entire Luzon

President Rodrigo Duterte ordered on Monday an "enhanced community quarantine" in the whole of Luzon to contain the spread of coronavirus disease.

Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo told this to reporters in a text message.

"PRRD (President Rodrigo Roa Duterte) just announced an enhanced community quarantine in the entire Luzon," he said. 

  Under the guidelines earlier issued by Malacañang, enhanced community quarantine is defined as a condition where strict home quarantine shall be implemented in all households, transportation shall be suspended, provision for food and essential health services shall be regulated, and the presence of uniformed personnel to enforce quarantine procedures shall be heightened.
