Duterte says critics can spit on his face if found irregularities on his bank account

October 28, 2018

President Rodrigo Duterte said critics could spit on his face if they could prove that he is lying about his bank account.

In a speech in Bacolod City on Saturday, Duterte maintained that he only earns P207,000 a month and that is being deposited in his Land Bank of the Philippines' account

“That’s what I can guarantee. I am telling you the truth and you can check. And if you see anything which is contrary to what I am saying now, I'll give you that right. You can spit on my face,” Duterte said.

His known critic, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV earlier accused him of having undeclared wealth placed in various bank accounts.

But aside from this, Duterte again made another controversial remarks about women.

He said if a beautiful woman would spit on him, he would keep it in his pocket.

“That is my guarantee. Disrespect me but if you are a beautiful woman and you spit at me, I’ll get your saliva and keep it,” he said.

On the other hand, Duterte hit back at his female critics, calling them ugly and crazy.

“Even your teeth are big. I won’t kiss you,” he said.

Akbayan Party-list Chairman Emeritus Etta Rosales in a statement on Sunday slammed Duterte telling him to just do his job instead of criticizing women.

“Instead of wasting time in attacking your female critics, the Filipino needs a cure on the rising prices of goods,” Rosales said.

“Mr. President, stop the nonsense ramblings,” she added. Ella Dionisio/DMS
