Duterte skips Davao City events
March 15, 2019
President Rodrigo Duterte failed on Friday to appear on his two public engagements in Davao City.
Duterte was supposed to lead the distribution of Certificate of Land Ownership Award and turnover of common service facilities to agrarian reform beneficiaries organizations at the University of Mindanao Gymnasium in Matina at 5pm.
But instead, he was represented by his daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.
His second event was supposed to be the PDP-Laban campaign rally at Crocodile Park Grounds.
Senator Aquilino Pimentel III, a re-electionist, announced at around 10pm that the President would no longer arrive.
Former presidential aide Christopher ''Bong'' Go, a senatorial candidate, said Duterte was ''indisposed'', with a headache. Celerina Monte/DMS
