President Rodrigo Duterte will not push with his trip to Leyte on Tuesday following the eruption of the Taal Volcano in Batangas province, Malacanang said on Monday.
In a statement, Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said Duterte's visit to San Isidro, Leyte would just be rescheduled.
"Due to recent eruption of Taal volcano, and to ensure safety of travel and better preparation of the officials, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte's engagement in San Isidro, Leyte...has been rescheduled to later date," he said.
