Duterte thanks South Korea for importing more Philippine products

President Rodrigo Duterte expressed gratitude to South Korean President Moon Jae-In as trade figures have improved.
"We’d like to express our gratitude for you to import some of our products --- personal care, food and seafood. It’s organic and natural products; in garments and chemicals and other electronic parts, all being enjoyed in Korea," Duterte said during his bilateral meeting with the South Korean president Monday night.
According to the Philippine Statistics Authority , exports to South Korea reached $215.29 million in September from year-ago figures of $166.27 million.
He also invited South Korea to invest in manufacturing, automotive, food production, processing, agribusiness, electronics and energy in the Philippines.
Duterte hopes economic ties between the Philippines and South Korea will grow stronger.
