Duterte to attend send-off for SAF battalion to Cotabato City

President Rodrigo Duterte will attend the send-off ceremony of the additional Special Action Force battalion in Cotabato City on Friday, according to Chief Superintendent Benigno Durana Jr. on Wednesday.
“There will be a send-off ceremony in Cotabato this Friday. (It) will be attended by the chief PNP (Oscar Albayalde), CS AFP (Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff General Benjamin Madrigal Jr.) and the President (Rodrigo Duterte) himself,” the PNP spokesman told reporters in Camp Crame.
He said this showed that the Duterte administration is “putting a lot of premium, interest and effort to make sure the will of the Bangsamoro people will be achieve” on the upcoming Bangsamoro Basic Law plebiscite on January 21.
On Tuesday, Malacanang said Duterte will personally campaign for BOL. Duterte will attend the "peace assembly" for BOL ratification on January 18 at ARMM Office of the Regional Governor Compound in Cotabato City. Ella Dionisio/DMS
