Duterte to decide Monday if NCR, four others to stay at MECQ

President Rodrigo Duterte will decide on Monday if the National Capital Region, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal and Bulacan will remain under the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ).

Led by the NCR, these areas have formed the bulk of daily new cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), which surpassed 6,000 twice this week.

Duterte placed these five areas under MECQ from August 4 to August 18. DMS
