Duterte to sign 2020 national budget on Jan. 6

President Rodrigo Duterte will sign the 2020 national budget on Monday, two congressional leaders said separately Thursday.

Presidential Spokespersom Salvador Panelo said Senate President Tito Sotto '' has info that the budget will be signed on January 6.''

Davao City Rep. Isidro Ungab, chairman of the House committee on appropriations, said Duterte ''will sign the national budget on January 6.''

Ungab said he doesn't know if Duterte will veto certain provisions in the P4.1 trillion budget.

The Presidential Legislative Liaison Office sent an advisory to House members about the signing ceremony at 4 pm at Rizal Hall, Malacanang Palace. DMS
